"Stacking"

The best way to use a coupon is to "stack" it with a sale or a store coupon. Most stores allow 1 manufacturer's coupon and 1 store coupon per item. When you can use both it's like gold! Even better is a store coupon, a manufacturer's coupon and the item is on sale. This has happened to me at Walgreen's a few times (more on Walgreen's later). When you are able to "stack", the savings are much more substantial. I try to only use coupons when an item is on sale. More often than not, I can. I love watching my total drop and see how much I save when I "stack".
